We hope that you read this before booking so that there are no surprises!

Mizan has become very popular, with more and more women working with practitioners to support their womb health. This is great news – Mizanis heal the world, one womb at a time!

It brings with it growing responsibilities for practitioners to work to their best potential, for their clients and also for themselves. Mizan is the gold standard of abdominal therapy and we want it to stay that way.

This means that we have put in place extra elements to the Mizan Practitioner Training so that new practitioners are better prepared than ever to begin seeing clients and making a difference in women’s lives. It does mean more commitment from you when you enter training, but it’s worth it.

Mizan Practitioner Training elements

1. Complete the Wombspace Workshop at least four weeks before the start of training. This is where you learn the basics of loving yourself and your cycles. After all, if you don’t, who will? You will learn about the resources essential to use alongside Mizan treatments and understand them well enough to support your clients in their use as well.

2. Online theory module. This is an evergreen module that you have permanent access to and is a great resource to refer back to.

3. Live pre-course Zoom session. A chance to get to know each other before the training and for you to ask any questions you may have. We can also check in with you how you’re getting on with steaming, castor oil packs etc.

4. Mizan Practitioner 5-day practical techniques training. Here is where you learn how to safely perform the treatment on your clients. This is a residential element where we work, eat and play together. You’ll build bonds with your other trainees that will continue for years.

4. Three post-course live Zoom sessions. You will continue learning and connecting with your group and ask the questions you forgot to ask during the course, get support with your case studies and participate in important discussions around women’s health.

5. 12 case studies: 3 treatments on 4 clients within four months of finishing the training. We want to see a progression of working with clients, so you can see the differences Mizan makes and tweak your aftercare advice if needed.

6. Appraisal of your techniques within six months of finishing the training. This can be in person or online. If you continue with the Mizan Foundation, you will have another appraisal in twelve months and then every three years. Appraisals are important as mistakes that creep in early tend to stay. Continuing appraisals are to ensure you are still on top form and are also an opportunity to learn any changes to the routine since your original training.

7. After completing the case studies and appraisal you can be listed on the Mizan Directory.
